Warner Hotels have great food
Take a dip in the pool
I stopped at Bodeldiddle with other members of my family. My partner and I stopped in one of the garden lodges and I will say it was fantastic. A comfortable bed and a large shower that pummelled your body with hot water. There was also a sitting room with comfy chairs and a balcony. I really relaxed with a beer and a book on the balcony reading and enjoying the views. The room also had a safe, fridge and an iron and ironing board. There were clean towels and dressing gowns within the room.
Our room was hot and I had to enquire on how to operate the heating/air conditioning. Perhaps it would be better if there were instructions by the control. (I may have missed the instructions in another book). The toilet paper was also of a poor quality something they could easily fix.
There was plenty to do with garden walks, quizzes, gym, shooting, archery, dancing lessons the list appears endless.
I went on the garden walk with Ash which was very good and also went shooting on the range which I found enjoyable.
The tour around the trenchs was remarkable with both ladies having a real passion for the first world war.
The food was good and plentiful my only gripes would be the hard toast and bacon that should have been in packets and labelled smokey bacon. It was rock hard.
I would definitely recommend Bodeldiddle and I look forward to stopping there again.
The entertainment was okay on Friday and Saturday and the lone female singer was good on Sunday.
All the staff were excellent and couldnt do enough for you.
My only concern was the open distance between the garden lodges and the hotel. This distance was okay for me to walk but Warners attracts an older clientele and so could an electric golf buggy be a feature to ferry customers from the lodges to hotel and back, making life comfortable for your customers.
In conclusion I loved this break
Lovely clean hotel , beautiful surroundings .friendly, helpful staff. The food was excellent with a very good selection.
Rooms were well equipped and very clean. The beds and bedding were good quality and very comfortable.
We came as a group of 18 friends for a weekend. Lovely building with big rooms. Very clean and comfortable, everything we could need. It's not cheap, but given the quality of facilities and, in particular, the food, I don't know how they do it for the money! Very smiley and helpful staff who put up with us being a bit silly and dressing up in fancy dress! Our waitress Mollie was delightful.
Very well adapted for any disabilities.
Again, I can't speak too highly of the food, quality, amount and choice.
Good entertainment - a comedian, a Dubliners' tribute band and the on-site entertainment staff doing an Abba tribute. But you could avoid this if you wanted, they had a singer in the bar for those who wanted to be quieter.
